NO 1. TABLE MOUNTAIN & WATERFRONT

Named after the famous historical royal couple, this is a working harbour surrounded by a shopping mall, fine dining, hotels and places of interest such as an aquarium and gateway to Robben Island. All with great views of Table Mountain.







NO 2. BOSCHENDAL

CAPE DUTCH STYLE HOUSE

A short drive out from Cape Town takes you to this museum in the Cape countryside. Built at the height of the historical Cape Dutch style, the house is set amidst expansive gardens, vineyards, and the Groot Drakenstein Mountain. far




NO 3. CAMPS BAY BEACH

PALM TREE PROMENADE.
With a row of tall palm trees lining the beach, your holiday starts here. Enjoy a great lunch at one of the bustling restaurants lining the beach. Accessible via the M62 - a scenic drive betweeen Table Mountain and Lion's Head.






NO 4. TABLE MOUNTAIN CABLEWAY


Many people don't realise that the top of Table Mountain is a nature reserive with beautiful natural fynbos vegetation and many small animals such as rock badgers and brightly coloured lizards. Reach this marvel via an exhilirating ride on the cableway. Enjoy views over the city bowl, the waterfront Camps Bay and Lions head. Bring a hat and sunscreen and don't veer off the marked paths.







NO 5. THE COMPANY GARDENS


The City Centre of Cape Town is vibrant and filled with sightseeing attractions, the heart of which is the Company Gardens - a lovely park surrounded by landmark buildings as well as the Iziko Art Museum and the planetarium. The City Hall and Cape Town Castle are also within walking distance. Why not make a day out of these beautiful sights.





NO 6. GREEN POINT PARK


Located just next to Cape Town Soccer Stadium that was built for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, the Park is a positive legacy from the games. This spacious family friendly venue has no entrance fee. Bring along a picnic basket and enjoy some sports and leisure time in a beautiful setting, with views of Lion's Head mountain peak.






NO 7. THE CENTRE FOR THE BOOK


Cape Town The The Centre for the Book is a National Monument that was built in 1913 and is used by the National Library of South Africa so promote literacy and publishing. It is an impressive building regarded as Edwardian in style. It is one of many places of interest located along the Company Gardens in the heart of Cape Town. It is viewed here from the rose garden.

NO 8. WATERFRONT CLOCK TOWER


Built in 1882, the building stands out for its red paintwork that highlights the white detailing of its Victorian Gothic-style.




NO 9. RHODES MEMORIAL


Completed in 1912, the Rhodes memorial was built in honour of the governer Cecil John Rhodes, a prominent English-born historical figure durign the establishement of the Cape Colony. It is located at the foot of Devils Peak, the Mountain adjacent to Table Mountain. It is located next to Kirstenbosch Gardens, and can form part of a day trip to both.




NO 10. GROOT CONSTANTIA


Also located near to the Botanial Gardens, Groot Constantia is one of the most significant historical buildings in Cape Town, and is built in the Cape Dutch style, which is unique to South Africa. It is regarded as South Africa's first wine farm, dating as far back as 1685. The house burnt down and was masterfully rebuilt in 1925, retaining all of its essential features.





NO 11. SIMONSTOWN HARBOUR


On day 8, you will feel like going for a scenic drive. Take the M6 through beautiful Cape Peninsula scenery, and and stop for lunch at the beautiful working harbour of Simonstown. In the afternoon you can stop off at boulders beach to see the friendly but endangered African Penguins, \ unique to South Africa, that will benefit from your support.




NO 12. KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS


Another beautiful garden you need to see on your trip to Cape Town, is the Kirschenbosch botanical garden. Kept by well-educated horiticulturalists this is and educational visit as well as a leisure outing. Get stunning photos of the South side of Table mountain with plenty of colourful plants in the foreground. The restaurant and play facility make this outing a comfortable one.






NO 13. CAPE POINT LIGHT HOUSE


This is a full days outing on the tip of the Cape Peninsuala. The Cape Point lighthouse is located at the tip of the Peninsual in the Cape Point Nature Reserve. A wild area that is well preserved, the entrance fee is not exhorbitant. View the stunning cliffs by the Cape Point Lighthouse, via an emjoyable trip on the tramway. The Two Oceans restaurant is right nearby and provides luxury in the midst of this vast natural area dotted with historical landmarks.





NO 14. VERGELGEN WINE FARM


If you only have time for one or two wine farm excursions, make sure this is one of them, because you will enjoy stunning scenery and a colourful garden with camphor trees that are more than 300 years old. The Stable restaurant has delicious meals, and the adjacent play park will keep the kids amused. You can purchase a picnic basket, but are not allowed to bring your own.





NO 15. CANAL WALK


After all the exercise on the beaches and hiking Table Mountain, you may feel like visiting a mall and watching a movie. Why not try Canal Walk Shopping Mall a few minutes on the N1 out of Cape Town, where there is also a lively food court and kids entertainment area. Take a walk onto the park surrounding the Canals, or visit Intaka Isand for more to see. See stunning architecture attractions such as Knightsbridge - this giant arched luxury apartment block over the canals.



NO 16. HUGUENOT MONUMENT
